Lake Needwood
   Regional Park

Rockville, MD

July 1999. My all-terrain running shoes take me from the 14th mile marker to the 13th and back again (green line) to complete the two mile jaunts.

Sept 1999 Update: Double that green line (take it down just past Baltimore Rd). I'm now running from the 14th to the 12th mile marker and back again (4 miles) on a regular basis. Triple the green line for the "long run" on Sundays (6 miles).

April 2000 Update: With the switch to daylight saving time the park now stays open in the evenings (until sunset). This allows me to do 6-mile runs (to the bottom of the map and back) during the week after work. I especially enjoy the Thurs night MCRRC group run at 6:30pm. (They meet on Tues nights as well, but I've got a scheduling conflict.)
